Our Leadership

Paul Drury

Paul is the Director of Urgent Community Response (UCR) and has consummate experience in understanding the importance of safe patient care. Paul qualified as registered general nurse in 2006 and has led various clinical teams including bed-based rehab services through extensive periods of change. In his role as Head of Rehab he was responsible for driving the delivery of better communications between the community and acute to create better patient flow and experience.

Paul has been involved in the accelerator site programme which responded to the growing demand of hospital admission. With the support of his team, he has developed the UCR programme to increase admission avoidance in the community along with setting up with other local healthcare partners the Single Point of Access (SPA); a system put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure timely discharge from hospital for patients to avoid hospitals being overwhelmed.

Paul has a strong belief in ensuring the highest possible standard of care is delivered with a focus on creating a true multi-disciplinary approach which involves the service user, their family, loved ones and caregivers at all times of the service users' journey to enable the best possible outcomes to individuals using the service.

Paul heads up the service ensuring systems and adequate resources are in place.
